Microsoft Access - find facility

Can anyone out there tell me why, - when using
Microsoft Access and Under Tools/Options/Edit-Find -General Search is selected and Apply is chosen, and the next time Access is used your choice of the Find facility is as you selected.
Subsequently in a later session the Find facility defaults to Full Name and Whole Field?
