Hi

Just a little confused as to how much ram mem i can install into my Medion pc with this motherboard MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-6701
Bus Clock: 133 megahertz
I currently have 2 slots each with 256mb in on the manufacturer specs on box it says 1gb max next to ram memory does anyone know if this means i can only go to 2 x 512mb ram or if i can install 1gb ram in each mem slot giving 2gb total

Once again thanks in advance
Richard

Hi Santos7

Already looked at Crucial site and noted it said three slots
Upon taking the pc side off there are however only two slots
All a bit confusing not even sure if its 2700 or 3200 mem

Regards
Richard

It should tell you in the Mediom Manual. If not phone Medion and ask

Best thing to do then is go to crucial click here follow links for memory upgrade and it will give you all the info you need including mem speed

Hi Santos7 and woodchip

Will check with Medion site think it means 1 gb max for each slot rather than total for both slots

Cheers

Definitely says 1 gig per slot, odd thing is all routes i have taken point to this MOBO haveing 3 slots as apposed to the two that you say you have ..

I have the same MOBO mrtreacle from Medion, and I have run the crucial check, it said I have the ability for 1gb max at 2700, 3200 and 4000 for three slots. However I can verify there are only two slots in mine too! Strange!

Hi Barney dave and santos7

Definitely 2 slots only and memory is pc2700 looks like each slot will take 1 gb max

Oh well now to buy some !

Thanks

Mine also said it had 3 slots with a crucial scan.

Probably due to the fact that the board might have been reconfigured by MSI for Medion's computer system source as an OEM product.
