Yet another problem with Windows 7. I am trying to load Quicken 2004 but get the message 'cannot start this program because MFC70.DLL is missing from your computer. I have tried re inbstalling it to no avail. Can anybody tell me where to find this file. There are several references on google but I don't seem to be having a lot of success with them

Is Quicken 2004 compatible with W7? I think it was released up to XP and now Support has been withdrawn it may be difficult to get an answer for W7.

Hi Johndrew

when I ran the update advisor it didn't suggest that Quicken 2004 was not compatible so I assumed it would be OK.
Tullie - This site does not list MFC70.DLL and Kaspeersky suggested it was unsafe

Many thanks

I will have to abandon this idea and find something else to do my accounts on

Many thanks

Once you have the DLL in your System32 folder then you need to register it:

Start > Run > regsvr32 mfc70.dll

You should get a succeeded or failed message.
