I installed ie9 on my laptop running Vista Home Basic 2 weeks ago, and am still getting used to it. There's a message which appears down in the notification area which goes:
"Speed up browsing by disabling add-ons", with response options to choose from namely:
* Choose add-ons
* Ask me later
* Dont't disable
* and of course "x" to close the message window
Which respone option do I choose and what are the implications? Thanks.
Just ignore it as far as I know you cannot remove it.Or just roll back to IE8.

Just got the same myself - basically the answer is select the options and set the value at the bottom to 10. It should stop it
Do exactly what it asks, if you want the particular add on to run. Don't disable it. Look in Tools / add ons and manually sort it out then it will only ask if you install another add on
