I would like to create an opening message when an excel worksheet opens and then let it close after a time limit. Any ideas please

Create a Userform with a Label containing your message.

In the Visual Basic Editor, right click This Workbook and select View Code. Copy and paste in

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
UserForm1.Show vbModeless
Application.Wait (Now() + TimeValue("00:00:03"))
Unload UserForm1
End Sub

Save and close the workbook then reopen it to see your message.

"00:00:03" pauses for 3 seconds - change that and the name of the UserForm to suit.

The code has to go in the ThisWorkbook code module. Also the file needs to be saved as an .xlsm file so that macros are enabled.

If you would like to send me a message via my yellow envelope I can send you an example file.
