Memory Upgrade on Medion

  zincy 01:57 03 Dec 2004

hello there

i'm lookin to upgrade my memory on my medion computer (model:PC MT6, Type: Med MT 235). At the moment i have 512mb and want 1gig of memory. It says i still have one slot free. So do i just buy another 512mb and put it in? Also how do i know which one i am looking for?? I looked on cruical web site but they dont have no model :(

The CPU is an AMD Athon XP 3200+, i'm not sure what my mother board is, i think it's an MS 7015 mainboard? Not too sure.. is there a program that will tell me what my motherbaord is? and what make is my memory?

many thanks

See if this click here helps.

As you have a spare slot it is just a matter of adding the extra memory.

Belarc from click here or Everest from click here will give you all you need to know about your system

If you have a problem with memory from Crucial they will replace or refund your money without a quibble.

You can still enter your details on and it will tell you the type of memory you want. From there you can purchase wherever you want.

Hi Zincy

Don't want to hijack your thread, but I think I must have the same PC (bought from PC world?) when I ran Belarc it says there is only one slot free, the other 2 have 256mb each, now can I put in a 512mb into the spare or must it be a 256mb!

  Diodorus Siculus 18:55 03 Dec 2004

tigerb - you can put in a 512 chip with no problems assuming it mobo takes that amount.

yes mine was brought from pcworld as well, with 2 256mb and one slot free.
did you manage to find the right memory for your machine? as crucial still dotn list my mahcine or motherboard.

It will most likley say on the Fitted dimm on the sticker inside case PC2700 DDR 333MHZ i also looked at crucial and the one is CT3264Z335 thing is this is only for a 256MB DIMM not 512MB available. This DIMM is the same on ASUS A7V Motherboards but at crucial it comes under the Asus board itself cos there are too many MSI Boards to list

So I recommend the CT6464Z335 from Crucial if you can confirm the PC2700 DDR on your DIMM

Crucial now have there own memory tool which is usefull.
