Hi thereI'm looking to upgrade my system from 2Gb to 4Gb.I have scanned my system at Crucial.com and it says that my PC has currently has 2 x 1Gb DDR2 PC2-5300, however it says that each slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300,DDR2 PC2-6400,DDR2 PC2-8500.So on to the question - as I already have 2 x 1Gb DDR2 PC2-5300, should I make sure that the additional RAM I buy is also DDR2 PC2-5300? Or could it be PC2-6400?
but it will run at the speed of the slowest
Thanks for the advice... guess it makes sense to buy the 5300 then.Cheers for your help.
