Memory Upgrade

I wish to put more memory onto my computer as it has gound to a stop.I run win xp. Pentium (R)4 ,2.40Ghz, 256Mb ram.Is is an easy job for a novice and how do i know what type of memory to buy.

Your best option is to visit the website of either Crucial click here or Kingston click here and use their online system to identify the correct memory for your system.

The actual installation of memory sticks is straightforward but needs to be done carefully. You also need to check whether you have a free slot, otherwise it may be a case of removing a smaller stick to be able to use a larger one.
