Hi, can someone clarify this please.
MSI motherboard MS 6585 1.0.
Chipset SiS 648 Max series.
Pent 4.
Motherboard has 3 mem sockets SD RAM.

What is the max amount of memory this setup will support?

From my research I am getting between 512m and 3g.

Presently using a 1gig chip but it only shows as a 512meg.

Anyone good on this stuff?

what is the specification of the memory.

Thanks wotbus, thats the board and it says in the manual 3Gb.
SiS tool says max supported is 512m.
Belarc says mem is only 512Mb although new IGb stick put in today.
Hence my confusion.
Thanks for your reply.

Your m/b supports DDR RAM, and up to 3GB of it.

Here is the link to the manual (over 6MB download)

According to this you should have no problems - so - make sure the module is firmly pushed into it's slot and try a different module.
