memory up grade

Hi out there.I have lap top with 2 x 512 ram ddr2 667 pc2-5300 200pin what would be best to take out 1 512 and put in 1gb or put in 2 x 1gb the cost is about £20 per 1gb would there be much difference in 1.5gb or 2gb lap top is fujitsu amilo la 1703

I would recommend Crucial for memory. Please be aware that matched pairs of memory are preferable. I would suggest either 2x1GB or 2x2Gb depending on which system you are using?

2 x 1GB sticks be the best option.

2gb 2x1 gb. B4 u install unplug plug and all conections inot laptop. Take out battery let the machine cool down. Get one of those wrist electic dischagers and where it and make sure its attached to stainles steel.

Press the on button for about 2 mins to dishcardge any electricity and opne over take old module out and inser new one screw cover back in.

Plug in power and either check bios for recognition of new ram or rickt click on my computer and click prperties this will show new ram.

Good advice may be but over the top I think.
After installing new ram the laptop will boot or not. Common sense dictates that the machine isn't plugged to the mains and no battery is connected.
To discharge any static simply put both hands on a stainless steel sink and that will be enough.
