Memory CL=2 or CL=3

I'm looking to upgrade the memory on my PC and have used the crucial web site for recommendations. They have come up with a number of options which are similar except for CL=2 or CL=3. What does this mean and does it matter which I go for?

Put simply the CAS latency is a measure of how long the memory has to wait between doing things....the lower the number the less time it spends waiting. For the same speed rating a CAS2 memory stick will be faster than CAS3.If there is not much difference in price or you game/video encode on your pc then CAS2 is the better(faster) option.
