Memory Access Violation

I have just had a new hard drive and motherboard (so I have been told)fitted by PCWorld into my Advent 3119 computer, running Windows XP Home. I have a snooker game that was previously installed on this computer before the "so Called" repairs were carried out. However, I have installed the program again but when I try to run it, I get the message "Memory Access Violation"! Please can anyone tell me what this means and advise me how to rectify the problem?
Any help would be gratefully received.

Thank you,
rafvr
