a freind of mine unluckily got himself infested with this trojan. Apparantly it seems harmless enough but it looks as if someone has got into his pc (via trojan) and messed around with his files.
We have managed to remove the trojan however, we still have the problem in that we cannot get the start bar to do anything. And windows explorer in anything other than safe made brings up an error about active x not permitted. Then it fails to display any files.
The options to activate Active X are missing.
It has also messed up various things such as the active desktop.
Im going to run a reinstall over the top first but does anyone else have any ideas on this?
He is using windows ME and IE 5.5 so I couldnt get explorer to fix itself..
