Medion Startup

  zipman 14:56 20 Dec 2006

I am in need of some serious help, Last night while i was using my Medion desktop PC, it decided to lock up on me, in the end i turned it off by holding the power switch for a few seconds. When i tried to reboot it, it would not do so, all it is doing is giving a loud beep that lasts for about 5 seconds, then a spell of quiet, then it bleeps again. and carries on like that. Any help would be most grateful.

Without knowing your motherboard there is little more I can do. I suggest you go through the advice set out in my second click here. Do you have the information on your motherboard?

Reading through the Medion PC Frequently Asked Questions the most common problem is a static buildup. I am not sure if its your problem but you could try.

1. Turn PC off
2. Turn the rocker switch at the back of the PC off
3. Press and hold the front power button for 60 seconds
4. Turn rocker switch back on
5. Turn PC on as normal

BRYNIT, i have tried what you suggested but it made no difference.

Will take the cover off later to find out what motherboard it has.
