Every time I click onto the internet I get pop ups from click here please can anyone tell me how to stop them.

I have got win xp sp2, internet explorer 6, which has a pop-up blocker, I am running Trend Micro PC Cillin internet sec 2005, I also have Spy Sweeper v 4.0.4

add these lines to your HOSTS file which is located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

thank you, so are you saying the best thing to do is for me to down load the new HOSTS file and delete my current one, then replace it with the new one?

Sorry if I sound a bit thick but I could do with a little help talking me though it.

Hi Ballie, I'm not sure what you have in your present Hosts file but if it's just the stardard file then there wont be much in there. In that case, yes, download the Hosts file I linked to and place it in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder, you will be asked if you want to over-write the existing Hosts file, choose Yes. When the new Hosts file is installed, reboot your computer and you shouldn't be bothered by those popups again.
