Media Player 9.0 Query

  Hans_Blix 12:23 15 May 2003

I'm running off windows millenium, and recently downloaded media player 9.0 from the microsoft website. Recently, i keep getting warnings from media player that i do not have the required codec (tag 55) to play certain files. This would be fine, however, if i listen to a music track and then click on it to listen again i get the old familiar exclamation mark and the codec warning, and then media player proceeds to systematically go through each track in the playlist displaying the same warning even tho i have juct listened to them two minutes ago! I only downloaded a load of codecs last week (divx, mpeg4 etc.) so i could watch video files. Any help would be much appreciated. ;)

Have you downloaded and installed WM9Codecs.exe from Microsoft?
