Hi to you all.

Does anyon eknow how to change the record bit rate when copying tracks from CD to media player.
I assume this MP 9 converts audio into MP3 format, but seems to be set at 160kb/sec, where I want to set this to 128kb/sec.

Many thanks

Go To...

Tools, Options, Rip Music tab (might be different in media player 9. i got media player 10. but it'll be something like record music) then down the page, they'll be a little scroll bar, allowing u to change bit rate.

Media player converts audio into WMP (Windows Media Player) format not MP3. There are add ons for the player you can get that will allow you to encode in MP3 it will not do so by default.

Thanks for the info,
Are there any FREE encoders that one can use.
Question:- Is WMP9 better than Ituens software?

I use FreeRip myself, a free and very good MP3 encoding program. As well as being able to Rip CD's into MP3, you can also convert wav files into MP3 format as well. You can find this program by click here

Hope this helps.

I use free rip too, just ignore the adverts and use the program it's great....TT
