Measuring Broadband useage

  laser sailor 08:48 14 Jul 2005

I have a 2Gb monthly cap on broadband useage and have just been told by my ISP, Wanadoo, that my last three months average use was 5Gb. I therefore have to upgrade my subscription or cut-back. My contract expires in Jan so I cannot switch ISP. Anyone know of a bit of software that can measure my useage daily / weekly / monthly ??

Your ISP should provide the "metering" function.
If they do not, you can try DU Meter click here

netmeter from click here monitors your connection and has reports for daily/weekly/monthly usage. i use it but i have a 30 gig monthly limit so its not so crucial for me.

this also contains an alarm to warn that you are about to/have reached the limit.

hope this helps, good luck

I use the excellent Tautology Bandwidth Meter from:
