Neither.
Free for non profit home use avast! or AVG.
For commercial users who need to buy a license get Nod32.

Why pay when you can get better progs that give as much protection without using as many resources?

There is no reason for a home user to pay for security.

Has already been said, but, neither. I've used both of them, and months ago changed to Avast, and Zonealarm.
Fruit Bat /\0/\ has provided some good links, try them out. They're free, what have you got to loose.

Im happy with McAfee for now but when it runs out Ill be going for for the freebies.

It's all about personal preference, just like browsers but I prefer NOD32 or Kaspersky Interent Security.

Why discuss, this subject is mentioned on a weekly basis within the forum. Use one of the mentioned freebie programmes, but make sure that you check for regular updates.
