McAfee conflict

After a few nasties penetrated AVG I decided to purchase McAfee Security Suite 7.
It loaded OK and cleared my system of bugs but it just won't let me surf the net or retrieve e-mail.
I can connect but it just hangs.
There's also no M in the tray, bottom right.
I've tried the McAfee help section which is, er, no help.
I uninstalled Ad-aware as I'd heard that could cause some conflict, but to no avail.
Please help,
Cheers,
Grezza.

I am just about to uninstal it as it stopped me logging on to nearly every site that requires a username/password. Took me days to work out what was causing it. When I disabled the privacy service in the program I was again able to log onto sites. Problem now is that every time the computer is rebooted the privacy service is re-enabled and has now done my head in to the extent it is coming off the computer.

It would be straight off mine too if it hadn't cost a load of money.
I'm determined to get it sorted, but McAfee don't make it easy.

Ive had my own problems with Mcafee and some will know about it on here.

You may find it will take a little time to configure Mcafee.

If you have no Icon in the system tray i would think it has not loaded correctly.

"Wont let you collect email"

This sounds like the Spamkiller,i had to configure Outlook Express every time i logged on the net.I therefore uninstalled Spamkiller and the Privacy from Add and Remove Programs.
And so far Mcafee has been as good as gold.
