MBR rootkit on external HD

  Paulivo 11:29 10 Oct 2009

I have found a MBR rootkit on my external HD using Rootrepeal. But i don't know how to remove it. If i right click i get the options:
restore & reboot immediately
and in the tools menu options are
wipe,copy & delete
Delete registry key,
Kernel mode callbacks
I have tried various other removal tools & they either lock up or cannot find said rootkit.
Weirdly my C: drive is not infected according to the various tools ive used.
Any help would be appreciated
