M/B switch

I've connected all the wires onto the motherboard but there's one remaining which I can't figure out where it goes. It's labelled 'M/B SW'. When I switch on the power nothing happens. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-7VA REV:1.0

It's the Motherboard Switch and it connects the power button to the motherbaord - hence the PC doesn't start!

Check your connections - something is wrong somewhere.

Look in the motherboard manual to see where it goes, download a manualk if you have to. M/B SW is the connection to the main power switch, without that connected your pc will do nothing.

This is taken from a downloaded manual for your motherboard. The 'Soft Power Connector' (pins 6 and 8) is for the main ON switch of the PC. click here.
