Hi all. My dad had somehow contracted some malware. An icon, looking very much like the microsoft security center shield, keeps popping up in the tray, and comes with a bubble stating that the pc is infected and requests we click the link for click here and get charged $19.95 to fix it. Its obviously a scam, but I can't seem to get rid. I have tried PCGuard, ewido and spybot and still its there. Any ideas of how to get rid? Pleeeeeeeeeeese.

Hi. Msconfig didnt throw anything up, but that superduperantivirus thing sorted it out.

the asquared stuff didnt find anything, but I did run after the other one, so maybe superantivius got the lot.

Many thanks guys (again), esp Vog.
