Malicious removal tool

I just downloaded and installed the latest windows xp updates which included the malicious software removal tool but I can't find it.Can anyone tell me how to run it please?I tried the search pannel but no results.Thanks.

as far as i know it automatically runs on installand is then removed?

Unless you want to use it manually, in which case I think it suggests it must be downloaded. Could be wrong though!

I always download and then run the file each month. Its satisfying to see the results ( as long as all is well !! ).

It located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\MRT.exe

or Start/Run MRT

Interesting. You wouldn`t happen to know the name of the process it runs under so that I can see if it`s doing anything in ProcessExplorer(SysInternals)?
