making web pages larger

I am trying to make web pages larger (bad eyesight)
I was under the impression that you had to press ctrl and scroll with the mouse wheel, but it doesn't work.
Any ideas please

For text size, go to Internet Explorer > View Text Size, and choose the text size that suits you best.

If you are using IE7 then from the status bar at the bottom change the zoom level.

If you use Firefox, holding down the Ctrl key and pressing the + or - sign will enlarge/reduce the text size.

IE works in a similar way but by using Ctrl and your mouse wheel.

If you're using XP (I think Vista has similar facilities) - Start, All Pograms, Accessibility, Accessibility Wizard. Just follow it through and choose the appropriate options. This will change eveything (all applications)on your PC to suit you.
