Main XP folders deleted - Help!

Hi. I decided I wanted to run a dual boot between Windows XP Home and Windows 2000 Professional. XP was already on my PC. After I set up Windows 2000 I realised the Win 2000 setup programme had deleted everything in the WINDOWS, Program Files and Documents and Setings folders on my XP setup. Because of this XP will no longer run. Can I get these files back as I no longer have my XP disk and I do not want to start everything over again. (e.g. games, work, software ect.)

as if you tried to install Windows 2000 in the same partition as WinXP - in which case you've no hope of reverting to WinXP, the Win2000 installation will have overwritten it.

You can only dual-boot if you have the operating systems installed in different drive partitions.

I'm afraid that by not creating a partition you have deleted XP totally. You could try to look in any temp folders that are on your drive but I do not hold out much hope.

I installed Windows 2000 on a new partition. Windows XP is on Drive C and Windows 2000 is on Drive E.
