Mailwasher Multiple Account Setup Problem

  SURVEY 15:23 01 Oct 2006

As a precursor to dithcing NIS for AVG and ZoneAlarm I am attempting to set up Mailwasher for multiple accounts (Version 2.0.2Beta) as recommended on this forum. I presently have a Dialup Account and a Broadband Account both with Freeserve (now Orange).

I have imported my Default Email account (Broadband)to Mailwasher and this is shown correctly in the Mailwasher account details. However when I try to 'Check Mail' a message comes up 'No such host. Ensure that the POP server is correct'. No matter what I do the error is the same. I have looked on the mailwasher 'help' page but to no avail.

I am presently using Norton Internet Security and have temporarily disabled AntiSpam in case this is the problem.

Can anyone please here?

Well with perseverance I traced the problem to Norton's Firewall. Where other new programs are flagged up to allow firewall access, this was not the case with Mailwasher and had not given me the option of Permitting access by Mailwasher (presumably it did not care for the opposition!).
