Up until yesterday I was using Mailwasher to check the contents of Freeserve email accounts. I have been doing this for over a year. Yesterday evening I started getting errors from Mailwasher which said that all the Freeserve accounts had been locked and couldn't be accessed. If I log on to the Freeserve FSMAIL site I can check the emails without any problems. I can also send and receive emails from these accountsI run Mailwasher at home and at work on two totally different PC's and operating systems so I don't think it is anything I've done.Is anybody else getting this? I would like to know before I call Freeserve.
Ran mailwasher 5 minutes ago and I was still getting the error messages.Ran it 1 minute ago and everything is now okay !!!I guess Freeserve were making some changes to their servers. It's a shame that they didn't bother to warn anybody.
Can you access them via your email client? The "locked" message usually indicates that there is another program which has opened the POP3 box. Strange thing that it is happening on two PCs though.
Well, there you go! Pleased to hear it... sounds like something Freeserve were up to.
