A friend is having trouble accessing his mail account. Exhautive calls to ISP help lines and talk throughs have not produced a result. Yesterday I had a look. What happens is this In either OE6 or Thunderbird The call is accepted, at ISP, connects to mailroom Then cannot find remote copmuter message,
Much deleting and reinstalling of mail details. One occasion OE6 did catch a download anf get in 3 weeks worth of mail. But the next connect was a reject.
Is there a bug that can cause mailroom denial I wonder.
Thanx ChesDez In the efforts to find a way around this he now has two ISP's. The original, is very basic web and mail only with no web access to mail. I have now put him on ukonline and shown him how to manage mail via web browser.
