Lotus Smartsuite and Office 2000 Problems

I recently had to reformat my HDD. My problem now is I cannot reinstall my Lotus or Office 2000.
The lotus disk (as supplied by IBM with the computer) appears Ok but when I try installing I get some error messages which I ignore and it "seems" to install, however when I try to open any apps I get error messages saying certain .dll files are missing.
In Office 2000 I get various error messages saying certain .dll files failed to register although all are in the folder with the exception of MS09.Dll which I cannot find anywhere.
Can anyone suggest any avenues of approach?
My computer is running Windows Me under a Duron 700Mhz with 320MB RAM fitted.

Sounds like a new clean install of WinME is probably your best option, then get the various updates from windowsupdate.com and then install Office or smartsuite (I don't know if there may be conflicts between the two).

These kind of problems can be caused by installing with an Anti-Virus program running.

As per all installations, you should install with no other programs running.
