Lost in Translation?

Had an interesting chat with a plumber in a pub today. He had taken his computer back to Comet, after buying it in December 2007 and was outraged to be told that it couldn’t be repaired, as the ‘HARD DICK’ was faulty, and he would have to buy a new PC! I suggested to him that they probably said that the ‘HARD DISK’ was faulty. I said that it would only cost about £20 - £50 or so for a replacement. I said that I would give him a helping hand.
