lost recovery disk

hi i have fujitsu seimens laptop and been advised to reformat it .but cant find my disk that came with it .

Yuo actually see the disc. Could it be with all your software discs. Just go and check if you remeber seeing it.

Without the disc you want be able to reformat but you can do a system restore if its xp home.

I have a Packard Bell computer that didn't come with a recovery disk. I had to create the disk on a CD-R using PB software that was pre-loaded on the computer.

Is there any Fujitsu Siemens support software amongst your programs? If so, have a search through it and see whether you have the same arrangement.

That's not really very helpful, or very accurate. Of course you can reformat a hard drive without the restore disk, but I don't think that gioboy really means that he wants to reformat - he wants to restore the laptop to its factory state.
