Lost Password - Windows 7 Home Prem

I've not used an old laptop for over 6 months and now cannot remember the password.

Laptop is a Packard Bell running Windows 7 Home Premium with no backup USB for login.

Please help.

Step 1: Boot or reboot your Windows 7 pc.

Step 2: Press F8 repeatedly until the Windows Advanced Options Menu screen appears.

Step 3: Select "Safe Mode" in the coming screen, and then Press Enter.

Step 4: Log in with "Administrator" account until you see login screen.

Click "Start > open the control panel > users accounts", and reset any user password. Now, you have recovered Windows 7 forgotten administrator password.

@chub_tor: Going through safe mode still requires my account password and displays the standard login screen, unless there's another way to go through from safe into the admin route?

@Jock1e: Will have to do a shout out for the reset disk, no one I know is running the same OS and laptop.

Using either a Windows DVD or by tapping F8 or F5 to get to the Advanced Tools menu.
