Lost Partition on

  Les 20:03 01 Mar 2007

my External LaCie hard disk. This hard disk contains two partitions, the first one contains my disk images and shows up in Partition Magic but not in Explorer or My Computer, the other partition does show in Explorer etc.

Has anyone an idea what may have happened and how to restore it. I have viewed it in Partition Magic and the files are all OK.

Well done fellas. Partition Magic showed that it did not have a drive letter, just a name. With the partition highlighted there is a box allowing you to alter the drive letter. This done and the problem was solved.

Many thanks, I wouldn't have thought of the idea of using PM for that purpose. You live and learn.
