used to have a note about how to delete dropdowns in the oe address box, lost, can anyone help, you know when you type the first letter in the address bar you get all the past history. need to clear.
sorry mean internet explorer
think it was a reg tweak, but can't remember for sure
know there is a way to clear it, i'll explain what i'm trying to clear, open internet explorer, click on address bar, goes blue to delete, type in "a", should get a dropdown, hit backspace, type in b, same, c, etc. any help please
Do you want to clear them all?
IE^ > Tools > Internet Options > Content > Autocomplete > Clear forms
yes vog, thought there was a reg, typed url's, but doesn't to be any values there, yes once again want to clear them all, i.e. the whole alpabet of dropdowns.
sorry, bremner, your solution does not work.
I have just tried it on my laptop and it worked fine - are you using IE6?
IE/Tools/Internet options, click Delete files, tick the delete offline content and ok.click clear history. click delete cookies (make a note of any logins & passwords a this will remove them)do as bremner says & turn OFF auto complete then you wont have the problem. (hopefully)
CleanUp! click here may do this although bremner's method should work.
