i have a desktop pc and a wireless laptop both used to be able to access files on each other. but now the laptop can only access the printer attached to the pc. when i try to access files on the pc from the laptop i get
"you might not have permission to use this network resource contact administrator for access permissions.

not enough storage is available to process this command"

the pc can still access the laptop files ok. I have run the network wizard on the laptop again and checked that the folders on thepcare still marked shared now at a loss what to do next, also tried with firewall off.

Sometimes turning the firewall off isn't enough, sunny staines. Try entering each computer's IP address into the other's firewall trusted zone.

used pcwizard 2008 to get ip address where would i enter the ip address of each computer to help access please?

  Technotiger 16:19 06 Feb 2008

If you have PC Wizard 2008 click here (Free to download and use) - click on Hardware>Network highlight Network (1st item on list) then click on Information, you will then be able to see your IP address, and lots more!

You could put this on both computers, if you do not already have it.

put ip address in firewalls trusted computer, still no joy.

Add the IP addresses into your firewalls Allowed list - on each computer.
