I have just had my hard drive formatted and windows XP reloaded and my general midi soundbank seems to have disapeared, I dont know much about computers I just want to carry on writing songs with my magix midi sequencer!
The only soundbank I seem to have is in system 32
and its called: synth. 2GMGSMT REV ++ it sounds very synth like , nothing like the GM one I originally had. I dont know how or where to get the gm soundbank so i can get back to songwriting
can anyone help please thanks Mark.
ps sorry for being so computer illiterate

look here

click on

` start `

`control panel`

double click on ` sound and audio devices`

click on the `audio` tab

see what the default device is in the ` Midi Music Playback ` ??

alter it if required
