Lost connection to a website in IE

I can no longer connect to a particular website in IE(7). I was connected, but one or more keys on the keyboard were accidentally pressed (by the cat!) around the F4/F5 region, losing connection to the website, and IE showing the 'connecting...' message on the tab.

As the website concerned is my own, it is rather important to resolve this problem! I can connect with no problem in FF.

Try re-setting IE7 to default settings. In IE, Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Restore Default Defaults.

If I re-set the defaults will this cause me to loose all my bookmarked 'favourites'? If so, is there a way to save them first?

I've just tried to access the 'missing' website once more after a couple of hours, and can now access it! I can only assume that whichever key was accidentally held down sent many of the same message, which IE7 was trying to work through before connecting me again.
Thanks anyway.
