We really need to know what application you were using for the address book and what operaring system you were using on the old drive.

For example, if it was Outlook, you need to search the old drive for a PST file. If you were using Windows 7 that was usually stored in c>Users>[your name]>AppData>Local>Microsoft>Outlook

There are different solutions for other mail clients and operating systems

Sorry chaps lack of info. I am using Outlook Express.
I have looked at the link Graham and tried a couple of things there but nothing so far will spend longer later.

My system is XP Pro. Both old system and New one. So no change there.
The new drive is on a SATA conection and the old drive on IDE. The address book i am looking for is still on the old drive somewhere. I have tried "show hidden files" but nothing there. Unless i can find It i will have to return to original setup and the extract manually save and reload it into the new one unless i find a short cut to it.

Hope that helps
