Lost the ability to search :/

Hi there,

Just reformatted after deciding that having 50,000 system restore files wasn't necessarily a good thing (think I had some sort of virus hiding possibly in the bios - not sure if that is possible though).

Pulled the Bios battery out for a bit, then reset it all, installed WinME all was fine. The computer has been working 100% again, but I found this morning that I can't use the search option. I can get into it, change the options etc, but when i click on Search Now, nothing happens. CTRL-F works ok for finding stuff in docs, websites etc, but the basic Windows search doesn't work. Any ideas?

One possibility;

IF you've got Tweakui installed,under the Desktop tab ensure the box 'show search results' is checked.

Regards
