ok please can you tell me what is a loopback adapter running xp2 thanks

You often see this at various times in XP, with the address 127.0.0.0
In the good old days it was, literally, an adapter that you connected to a serial port to test it. These days it seems to be an internal issue relating to XP looking in its cache or the Temporary Internet Files when going to websites.
