Love Trad Jazz...:-)

Apart from going to see the top bands all over the NW, also used to go on the Trad Jazz boat day trips from Liverpool to the Isle of Man, featuring Acker Bilk, Kenny Ball and many other bands of the time.

Stuartli, Acker Bilk, Kenny Ball? Surely not.

I used to play clarinet in a jazz band in the 1970/80s. I have quite a few recordings on reel to reel and cassette tape.

One of the best sites that I know is click here this is all music before 1930 and so has no copyright attached.

I used to like the post 1900s jazz artistes as well - as an aside, I still never get bored listening to George Lewis's Burgundy Street Blues even today.

Stuartli. George Lewis was one of the best and it was he who I (sort of) copied when I was learning. You want to hear my version of Burgundy Street Blues? email me and I will send you an MP3 of it.

Stuartli, just checked your link. Absolutely brilliant. I don't think mine is anywhere near that, but I tried.
