Happy Christmas everybody.

A work colleague has got this message when trying to connect to AOL, and is unable to connect.

Can anyone tell me what may be wrong or areas to check for problems?

Thank you

Angry ;)

Using Aol BB and W2K

In control panel go to Network and Dial-up
Go to Local Area Network
This is a sort of table relating to the Globespan modem and lists with ....... each of the four boxes is ticked -

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Client for Microsoft networks
File and printer sharing for Microsoft networks
PPPoEWin Protocol (Win200/XP only)
Internet protocol TCP/IP
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Have used AOl happily enough for yonks, BB during the past 2 years.
I honestly have no idea how to get your friend out of the doo-dah, but the missing stuff appears to relate to the modem, and I would try un-installing and reinstalling that.

Also a vital point when installing the modem (drivers), keep the modem unplugged from the computer UNTIL the installation asks for it.
