  bobatnorthway 13:00 06 Oct 2006

A friends PC began running incredibly slow & warnings of low memory, virus scan negative, I suspected problem with cache memory, now doesnt boot and get quite long single beeps, nothing on screen, swapped memory sticks & Graphics card, checked all connections are ok, any views please.

Hi, long single beeps usually indicate Keyboard problem/s - can you try it with a different keyboard?

This is just one suggestion, no doubt others will come on with more suggestions.

Good luck ........ Cheers.

I would say the graphics card as died, Try a spare card if you have one
