Hi folks
I have a Logitech cordless keyboard/mouse which came with the desktop system I got a couple of months ago. All is well apart from me having to replace the batteries in the mouse every 5 weeks or so. Is that about right? I feel that they should be lasting a bit longer?

That's probably a little longer than average - my wireless optical mouse and keyboard batteries (fortunately they are rechargeables) need replacing about every fortnight for the mouse and a month for the keyboard.

I am using them for many hours a day though.

My logitech lx501 will run for 5 weeks, mouse on sony 2300 metal hydride rechargeables, and the keyboard on the same type of battery will go for at least 2 months. Thats based on 6 hours a day constant use.

I had Logitech Mouse, and couldn't get along with it,Now i will only use a Microsoft mouse

Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2

Hand on heart,i cannot remember the last time i changed the batteries, normal use for me is around 6 hours a day.

Hope this helps.
