Log on password not wanted - how to turn off

Hi
I am the sole user of my XP machine. Usually I can turn it on and it will boot up completely with no input required. Recently this has changed - now it asks me for my password before it will load the start-up programs. How can I go back to not needing a password?

CH000536: Disabling the Windows XP login prompt for password.
"Disabling startup login prompt for password

1. Click Start and Run
2. Type "Control Userpasswords2" and press enter.
3. Uncheck the box for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
4. Click Apply and Ok."

Thanks for the speedy reply. I've done that, but now it stops with the Windows Log in box greyed out, and 'Administrator' in the User name box, and an Logon message Box "Unable to log you on because of an account restriction". If I enter my user name then I can log on. Any ideas about what is going on here?

Try changing Administrator to Default.

Sorry to be so uninformed, but how do I change the default user account?

  VoG II 12:41 03 May 2006

"'Administrator' in the User name box"

Change to Default.

OK, I typed 'Default' into the username box, instead of 'Administrator'. I got the normal "The system could not log you on..." message.
Any more ideas?
I don't know why the machine has started behaving this way - it's not a area which I fiddle with.
