please can anyone explain how I find out what version the printer driver is I have installed on my computer. (WindowsXP Canon Pixma ip5200 printer).I am trying to find out if there is a later version driver.
tonyq, Hi, have you tried the Canon website?
If you go to Printers and Faxes in Control Panel, right click your printer>Properties, you will find a Version tab.You can then compare the version with the latest available on the Canon website.
Should say that that is the method with my Epson printer - there was pretty well only one driver available for my previous Canon BJC 600e, which I bought in 1996.
To find the version on my Canon i865 I had to go to Printers and Faxes in Control Panel, right click Properties on it then Printing Preferences and click About.
thank you for your replies, what chub_tor suggested is the same for my printer, thanks again.Regards tonyq
