Locale: United States in system info

  Seadog 16:04 03 Feb 2004

I was just browsing through my system information, (general section) and it lists my locale as United States any idea why? Surely it should read UK, as does the regional/language options. Time zone is GMT as well. Or is this just a Microsoft thing, I am using Xp.

Just checked, and so does mine. Using Win-XP Pro.

All my settings are for the UK, so it must be a MS oddity.

It does that in all countries whose Government asks "How high?" when Uncle Sam says "JUMP"

Just tried two other machines. One says US, the other UK. All regional settings state UK, with the exception of Language for Non-Unicode programs. Don't see how this can affect it, but the one showing UK is set for UK there, the other two for US.

I have just checked, and made the change to UK English for non-Unicode programmes, and my locale now reads UK.

Obviously does affect it then. Thanks.
