the cat5 is unplugged. My home network has run fine for 6months then all of a sudden the client computer can no longer access the internet...After further investigation I find the connected light on my hub for the server/gateway computer has gone out. I've tried a new cable and uninstalled/installed the ethernet but still the same. The peculiar thing is how the gateway computer is showing connected to the local area LAN but the cable is unplugged. Both computers running xp pro with onboard ethernet All very strange.....any ideas out there please?
