loading software onto different XP accounts

I've loaded Microsoft Office student edition onto my XP (administrator)account. Why is it when I log on to my son's non-administrator account I see excel and powerpoint but not word?

Is it any different when you log on as yourself? (As an Administrator) What can you see?

Using the Admin account, open Windows Explorer and navigate to this folder:

Documents And Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office.

My guess is that you'll see icons for Excel etc, but no icon for Word.

If that's the case then navigate to this folder:

Documents And Settings\YourUserName\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office.

Right click the Word icon and select Copy.

Now navigate back to

Documents And Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office

and paste the Word icon into the folder.

Word should appear on you son's Program Menu.

it may be worth checking all users desktop

right click the start button select explore all users select desktop in left hand tree check to see if the shortcut is in their if not copy and paste one in off your desktop (Administrator)and see if that works
